In keeping with the State of Michigan’s Executive Order No. 2020-97, our office will be adopting the following safeguards as we move forward and begin opening our office in the safest manner possible:

We will be scheduling all well child appointments at this point. Please call our office to schedule.

- Please call our office if future appointments (within 3 months) are needed and schedule those over the phone.
- All well child checks (PE’s, Comp’s etc.) will be done in the morning.
- All sick or telehealth appointments will be done in the afternoon (a telehealth can also be done in the AM if needed).
- For the time being, our office hours will remain M-F 8-4 / Saturday 8-12

We ask that NO ONE stands or sits in our waiting room. This includes to check-in or to check-out.

You will be required to wear a face mask (parent and patients over 2 years) or some type of cloth covering your face and nose (it can be a scarf, bandana, etc.). Facial coverings are required in order to enter our office.

CHECK-IN Process.
- Please call our office when you have arrived in our parking lot. All patients/parents need to be screened (with health questions) over the phone prior to entering the office. Someone will meet you (inside our waiting room) to escort you to a room.
- Please abide by the X’s on the floor should there be more than one patient entering at the same time.
- Hand sanitizer and tissues are on a table as you enter our office. Please sanitize your hands as you enter.

CHECK-OUT Process.
- Please continue out the door to exit our office.
- One of our billers will call you if a copay or previous balance needs to be collected.

TELEHEALTH.

- You will need to provide our office with an email address that you can access.
- Call our office to set-up the portal.

[UPDATE: 03/23/2020]

Please be aware that following the latest Executive Order from the Governor (issued 3/23/2020, in effect 3/24/2020 at 12:01), our office will remain open.  A medical office does fall under a “critical infrastructure”.

We will continue to see all well visits in the morning and sick visits in the afternoon.

Well visits that include immunizations are considered to be essential visits.
     1 month, 2 month, 4 month, 6 month, 12 month, 15 month, 18 month
     4 year and 11 year

We are (if appropriate) doing telehealth visits. You must be registered for our Patient Portal to do this.
Please call our office to set up your Patient Portal.

Continue to call our office with your healthcare questions and we will help as needed.

Our office will close at 4:00 pm M-F. • We will continue with our regular weekend hours.

Please stay home and avoid playdates with friends.  While children continue to have very mild illness with this virus, they can be excellent at spreading it.  We continue to make changes daily to ensure our staff and our patients are as safe as possible.  This means there will be some policy changes almost daily; please check our website and/or Facebook page often.

WELL VISITS.
We are still doing well-visits, especially for those infants needing vaccinations.  We are moving all well visits to the morning and all sick visits to the afternoon.  We will continue scheduling in this manner until further notice.

TELEHEALTH.
We are currently in the process of configuring the office for telemedicine visits.  Virtual Visits may be an option in some circumstances.  These visits can be arranged when scheduling and are billed to insurance.

PORTAL & HEALOW APP.
If you signed-up for the Patient Portal, please download the Healow App on your mobile device and set up an account.  Visit summaries and test results are posted to the Patient Portal.  You can call our office, and we can sign you up for the portal if needed.

SOCIAL DISTANCING.
The best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to this virus.  We encourage social distancing in order to prevent further spread of the virus.  People should make all attempts to maintain at least 6 feet of separation between themselves.

MASKS.
There is a nationwide shortage of protective equipment for healthcare staff.  If any of our patient families have connections with a dental office (or other industrial business) that may be closed in the coming weeks and have any masks for purchase/donation--please share that contact information.  If you have your own mask to wear when you are sick, please do so.

LIMIT VISITORS.
Whenever possible, please do not bring extra children or caregivers to appointments.  If you do have to bring others, please let the office know ahead of time, especially if they are sick.

TESTING.
Testing for COVID-19 is still very limited.  Stay home if you have any symptoms.  If you are experiencing shortness of breath, you may need to be seen, but you should CALL FIRSTPlease avoid the ER and Urgent Care when you can.

NO WALK-IN APPOINTMENTS.
Please call our office first in order to be properly screened in order to try to prevent the spread of this illness.
CALL AHEAD APPOINTMENTS ONLY.
